Google has announced that it is integrating its Gemini AI assistant into more devices, including Android Auto, smartwatches, Android XR and TVs. Google made the announcement at a special event – The Android Show – a week ahead of Google I/O.

Gemini coming to Android Auto on 250 million users

According to Google, there are over 250 million cars that support Android Auto, and more than 50 car models with Google built-in on the road. Users can soon tell Gemini to remember to always send messages to a friend in Spanish so that you don’t have to transcribe it later. “You can edit that message without having to start over and then even have it translated in over 40 languages,” Google said.
Users can also ask Gemini to find places during a trip and ask follow-up questions by asking for insights from reviews, or common questions about the business.“Gemini connects to Google Maps and your other apps like YouTube Music and Spotify to find exactly what you need and help you take action — in ways you didn't think were possible before. You can even find the location of your kid's soccer game that got buried in your Gmail inbox,” the company added. Gemini will soon be available on Android Auto in the coming months and on cars with Google built-in later this year, including models from Lincoln, Renault, and Honda. This integration aims to provide drivers with a more intuitive, hands-free experience through natural voice commands. Features will include message translation, point-of-interest searches, and information retrieval from apps like Maps and Gmail. A "Gemini Live" conversational feature will also be introduced for brainstorming and information seeking while driving.

Later this year, Gemini will also come to Google TV, offering personalized recommendations and information.Furthermore, Google is collaborating with Samsung to bring Gemini to Android XR, a new platform for headsets and glasses. The integration aims to enhance user interaction in immersive environments.
