J&K's Rajouri Police seize property of drug peddler worth lakhs
Jammu: Continuing their ongoing crackdown on drug-related crime, J&K police seized property worth lakhs, including a residential house and a car, belonging to a drug peddler in Rajouri district of Jammu division on Saturday.
“The property of Jaswinder Kumar, alias Sonu, a resident of Ambedkar Chowk Lamberi in Nowshera of Rajouri district, was attached under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act,” a police spokesperson said, adding, “the action was taken under supervision of SDPO Nowshera, following a thorough inquiry”.
The property is estimated to be worth over Rs 35L.
Police in Rajouri remain committed to the zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking in the border district and “such actions will ensure that individuals involved in the illegal trade face strict legal consequences,” he said.
