Nellore MP seeks IFFCO chairman’s support for establishment of more industries at Kisan SEZ

TIRUPATI: Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy met IFFCO chairman Dilip Sanghani and CEO Dr. Uday Shankar in New Delhi on Tuesday, seeking their support for establishing more industrial units at the IFFCO Kisan Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Kovur, Nellore district.
Vemireddy informed the IFFCO chief that the Kisan SEZ, established in 2009 in the Kovur assembly constituency across 2,777 acres, boasts excellent infrastructure capable of attracting a diverse range of industries.
Highlighting the SEZ's existing industrial presence, he noted that SIEMENS Gamesa Renewable Power Private Limited set up its plant on 150 acres in 2017, while Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Limited also established its plant on 150 acres.
The Nellore MP emphasized that, due to its strategic location near Krishnapatnam Port and Chennai, the Kisan SEZ offers significant expansion potential, which could attract major industries to the district and generate substantial employment opportunities for the local youth.
