Watch: Eight-time Olympic medalist Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce leaves parents in the dust at son’s sports day(again)

The 38-year-old Jamaican sprinter and three-time Olympic gold medalist brought her world-class speed to her son Zyon’s school sports day in Jamaica this week, easily winning the parents’ 100-meter dash and leaving fellow moms far behind again.
Fraser-Pryce, an eight-time Olympic medalist and the third-fastest woman of all time, shared the hilarious moment on Instagram, captioning the video:
“They haven’t banned me yet so I’m at the line.”
The post includes drone footage capturing her stunning speed, so much so that even the drone struggled to keep up. “The drone actually doesn’t know what to do,” one outlet joked, as it awkwardly tried to track her while the rest of the parents trailed far behind.

This isn't the first time Fraser-Pryce has made headlines for dominating the mom’s race. In 2023, she pulled off a similar victory at the same event, showing she hasn’t lost her competitive edge even when the prize is just playground bragging rights.
Her win comes shortly after announcing her return to professional racing in 2025. Fraser-Pryce missed the 100m semifinal at the 2024 Paris Olympics due to a warm-up injury but appears to be back in top form.
