Nimrat Kaur recently opened up about navigating the challenges of fame, including dealing with negativity, public scrutiny, and subtle sexism in the industry. Coping with Public Scrutiny and Constant NegativityWhen asked about how she copes with constant negativity and public scrutiny, Nimrat acknowledged that it can be challenging at times, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble. She admitted there are moments when she prefers to remain unavailable or keep a low profile, but given the nature of her profession, that's not always possible. Being in the public eye means she often encounters paparazzi and similar situations, even when she simply wants to go about her day.The Growing Demand for Intrusive Content
While she noted that people are generally polite and kind, she also pointed out the growing demand for odd and intrusive content online, which naturally leads to more of it being created. Navigating this dynamic can be complicated. Despite this, Nimrat chooses not to dwell on it too much. Instead, she focuses on what truly matters in her life and work, brushing off the noise and keeping her attention on her goals.
Addressing Subtle Sexism in the IndustryWhen asked about the presence of sexism in today’s world, Nimrat Kaur acknowledged that it still exists, often in subtle ways. She noted that we live in a male-dominated society, not just within the entertainment industry but in the broader world as well. There are environments where a “boys’ club” mentality prevails, where certain jokes or behaviors make it clear that women are not part of the inner circle. However, Nimrat believes that by entering such spaces with awareness and confidence, change can gradually happen. She shared that, in her experience, once people recognize her as an individual with her own qualities, the focus shifts away from gender and toward her as a person.Nimrat Kaur has been actively building a diverse filmography in recent years. Her recent work includes the 2025 film Sky Force, the 2023 thriller Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video, and the television series The Legacy of the Raisingghs: Kull. She is also part of an upcoming project currently in post-production, titled Section 84, where she shares screen space with Amitabh Bachchan.
