Jungkook and Jimin will enlist for the mandatory military training today, December 12. Ahead of the same, Jungkook delivered his final performance with his close friend and collaborator, American singer-songwriter
Charlie Puth.
On December 11, Jungkook made a surprise appearance in
Charlie Puth’s TikTok Live stage act, wherein the duo performed on ‘Left to Right’ together.
Thanking Jungkook for the appearance, Charlie took to x (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “I want to thank Jung Kook for joining us on stage virtually last night. It is a very full circle moment- from discovering his WDTA cover, to performing together in 2018 for the first time, and he wanted his final performance was with me! I feel very lucky and I can’t wait to perform with him again when he is back. Thank you to BTS and the BTS army for all the love and support always. I will see you soon JK.”
Jungkook and Charlie Puth became friends while working together on ‘Left and Right’ and they even collaborated for a performance of Charlie Puth’s single, ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’, at the MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards in 2018.
Issuing an official confirmation about Jungkook and Jimin’s enlistment, Big Hit had said in a statement, “Jimin and Jung Kook are scheduled to enlist together. Please note that there will be no official event on the day of their entry. The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only. To prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, fans are advised to refrain from visiting the site. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts only.”
