Suriya confirms 'Vaadivaasal' shoot
In a recent promotional event of 'Retro' in Mumbai, Suriya confirmed that his much-anticipated film 'Vaadivaasal', directed by
Vetrimaaran, will officially commence shooting later this year. During a media interaction, the actor stated, “On May 1st, 'Retro' will come and from this year (2025) onwards, I will also begin shooting for 'Vaadivaasal.'” This statement has brought renewed excitement to fans who have been eagerly awaiting updates on the film. Originally announced a few years ago, 'Vaadivaasal' had faced delays due to both Suriya and Vetrimaaran’s prior commitments. However, the project is now finally taking shape, with a recent photo of the actor and director together hinting at active pre-production.
